Pakistan-born UAE cricketer Usman Khan smashed his maiden double hundred in 50-over format during the ongoing Emirates D50.
While representing Sharjah against Dubai in the 15th match of Emirates D50, Usman smashed 204 runs off 148 balls. His powerful knock included 20 boundaries and 10 maximums.
His power-packed performance helped his team post 353 runs in 49.3 overs. His opening partner Khalid Shah partnered strongly with him as they stitched 97-run partnership for the first wicket.
Sharjah bowled out Dubai for paltry 155 runs. Usman also took a wicket while conceding 18 runs in 2.3 overs.
Earlier this year, Usman shined in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 while representing losing finalists Multan Sultans. Usman scored the fastest hundred in PSL history off just 36 balls during their match against Quetta Gladiators as his side posted the highest total, 262-3, in the tournament's history.
Usman broke teammate Rilee Rossouw's record of fastest ton in 41 balls, which was set in the same season. He scored 120 runs in 43 balls with the help of 12 fours and nine sixes against Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi.
The right-handed batter aims to play for UAE's national team in the future.
